Yes! You can view the roster of confirmed players for any match, including their skill ratings, positions, and brief profiles. This helps you make informed decisions about joining games that match your skill level and preferences.
We understand things come up. If you need to leave early, please notify the captain as soon as possible through the match chat. While occasional early departures happen, consistently leaving matches early may affect your player reputation and future match eligibility.
Use the 'Invite Friends' feature in your profile to share BaabSport with contacts via email. When joining or creating a match, you can also send direct invites to friends already on the platform. Friends you invite who sign up earn you both Baab Credits!
Bring appropriate footwear (cleats for grass, indoor shoes for turf), shin guards, and water. Some facilities provide balls and pinnies, but check the match details. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to warm up and meet your teammates.
A Captain is a player who organizes matches. Captains select the field, set the date/time, determine the format and price split, and manage the roster. They're responsible for ensuring the match runs smoothly, communicating with players, and handling any on-field issues. Captains may receive benefits like reduced fees or priority booking.
Any verified player can create a match and become its Captain. To maintain Captain status and unlock premium features, maintain a good rating, host matches regularly, and demonstrate reliability. Experienced Captains may be invited to our Captain+ program with additional perks.
Tap the '+' button and follow the booking steps: select a venue and field, choose your sport type, set the duration, pick a format (e.g. 5v5, 7v7, 11v11), select the date and time slot, set match visibility (public or private), and add optional notes. You'll see the full price breakdown before confirming.
If minimum player requirements aren't met 24 hours before the match, you'll have options: extend the deadline, reduce the minimum players, invite more players, or cancel with a full refund. We'll send you notifications as the deadline approaches.
Yes! When creating a match, you can set minimum and maximum skill ratings, preferred positions needed, and other requirements. This helps attract the right players and ensures competitive, balanced games.
Go to 'My Teams' to create or manage teams. You can add players by username or invite link, assign positions, set team tactics and formations, and track team statistics. Team members get priority notifications for your matches.
As Captain, you pay your share upfront to secure the booking. If the match fills, you play at the captain's rate (often free or discounted). If the match is cancelled due to low turnout within the allowed window, you receive a full refund. For last-minute cancellations, different policies apply.
A Team Challenge is a match between two organized teams. One team creates the challenge by selecting a venue, field, sport, format (e.g. 5v5, 7v7), and proposed date. The challenge can be 'Open' (any team can accept) or 'Direct' (sent to a specific team). The flow is: Waiting for Opponent, Matched, Date Set, Ready, then Confirmed.
Go to Team Challenges and tap 'Create Challenge.' Follow the step-by-step wizard: select a venue, choose the field, pick your sport and format, set the duration, select a date and time slot, and choose Open or Direct challenge type. You'll see the per-player cost breakdown including service fee (5% + $1.00) before confirming. You need sufficient credits in your wallet to create a challenge.
When your team receives a Direct challenge or you find an Open challenge, you'll see an 'Accept Challenge' button with the cost per player. Tapping it accepts the challenge on behalf of your team and moves the status to 'Matched.' If you're not interested, simply ignore it.
After a challenge is matched, either team can propose a different date. You'll see 'Accept Date' and 'Change Date' buttons. Once both teams agree on a date, the status moves to 'Date Confirmed' and players can start committing.
After the date is confirmed, each player on both teams must 'Commit' to participate. Committing places a credit hold on your wallet for your share of the field cost plus service fee. You can see each team's commitment progress (e.g. '3/5 players committed'). Once all required players on both teams commit, the challenge is automatically confirmed and holds are captured as payment. You can 'Uncommit' before confirmation to release your hold.
Only the captain who created the challenge can cancel it, and only before it reaches 'Confirmed' status. When cancelled, all credit holds are automatically released back to players' wallets with no penalties. Once a challenge is confirmed (all players committed), it cannot be cancelled through the challenge system.

When joining a match, toggle 'Use Credits' to split payment between your credit balance and card. Credits are earned through referrals, promotions, and some refund types. Credits never expire.
Go to your Wallet and tap the '+' button. Choose a quick amount ($10, $25, $50, or $100) or enter a custom amount between $5 and $500. Pay with Apple Pay or a credit/debit card with billing ZIP. Funds are available in your wallet instantly.
Yes. We use Stripe for payment processing, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of security. We never store your full card number on our servers. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Navigate to your Wallet to see all transactions. Use the filter tabs — All, Paid, Refunded, Credits, and Holds — to find specific entries. Each transaction shows the amount, date, and type. Active holds display the match or tournament name with an expiry date.
If a payment fails, you'll receive a notification with the reason (insufficient funds, expired card, etc.). Your spot in the match will be held for a short period while you update your payment method. If not resolved, your spot may be released to other players.
When you commit to a team challenge or register for a tournament, a credit hold is placed on your wallet. This reserves the funds but doesn't charge you yet. Your 'Available Balance' reflects your total balance minus any active holds. Holds are captured (converted to payment) when the event is confirmed, or released back to your wallet if you uncommit or the event is cancelled. Maximum hold per match is $200, with up to $500 in total active holds.
Your wallet can hold up to $5,000 in credits. Each top-up must be between $5 (minimum) and $500 (maximum). For credit holds, the maximum per match is $200 and total active holds across all events cannot exceed $500.
Cancellation refunds depend on timing and match type. For standard matches: cancellations more than 24 hours before receive a refund (your stats may be impacted); less than 24 hours receives no refund and stats are impacted. For own-share payment matches: more than 72 hours gets a card refund, 48-72 hours gets a credit refund, less than 48 hours receives no refund. No-shows affect your player rating.
Go to 'My Matches,' select the match, and tap 'Leave.' A confirmation dialog will show you the applicable refund based on timing. Consider finding a replacement through the match chat to help fill the spot.
If a Captain cancels, all players receive full refunds automatically, regardless of timing. We understand emergencies happen, but Captains who frequently cancel may have their Captain privileges reviewed.
Weather-related cancellations are handled by the field facility. If the facility closes due to weather, all players receive full refunds. For outdoor facilities, the Captain may decide to proceed or cancel based on conditions — cancelled matches are fully refunded.
Captains can reschedule matches through the app, subject to field availability. Players will be notified and can confirm or opt-out of the new time. If you opt out of a rescheduled match, standard cancellation policies apply based on the new date.
Refunds to Baab Credits are instant. Refunds to credit/debit cards typically appear within 3-5 business days, depending on your bank. If you don't see your refund after 7 business days, contact support with your transaction details.
If field conditions don't match the listing (unsafe surface, missing equipment, etc.), report the issue immediately through the app. Our support team will investigate and may issue full or partial refunds. Take photos to support your report.
When a player cancels close to match time, their spot may become available at a 20% discount. Look for the '20% OFF' badge when browsing available matches. This helps fill the spot quickly and gives you a great deal on a last-minute game.
Tournaments are organized competitions where multiple teams compete. Teams register through their captain, pay the entry fee collectively, and compete for prizes and glory! Formats include league play, group stages with playoffs, and knockout brackets.
Only the team captain can register for a tournament. Go to the Tournaments tab, select a tournament, and tap 'Register Team.' Team members then contribute to the entry fee through progressive payment collection — each player pays their share, and you can track collection progress in the tournament detail screen. A service fee is added on top of each contribution. Registration becomes active once the required amount is fully collected.
Currently, tournament registration is team-based only. You need to be part of a team and your captain registers the team. If you're looking for a team, use the team discovery feature to find and join teams in your area.
Tournament withdrawal and refund policies vary by tournament and are set by the organizer. Check the specific tournament rules before registering. Contact tournament support for any withdrawal requests.
Tournament organizers update results after each match. Standings, brackets, and statistics are available in real-time through the tournament page. You'll receive notifications for upcoming matches and results.
Prizes vary by tournament and may include cash prizes, Baab Credits, merchandise, free future tournament entries, or trophies. Prize details are listed on each tournament's information page.
Go to Profile > Edit Profile to update your name, photo, city, state, ZIP code, preferred position, and other details. Some changes (like phone number or email) may require re-verification.
Yes. Go to your profile and use the 'Change Phone' option. You'll need to verify the new number via SMS code. Your account history and wallet balance will transfer to the new number.
Go to Profile > Settings > Linked Accounts. Tap 'Link' next to Google or Apple and follow the authentication flow. Linked accounts provide additional login options and account recovery methods.
Account deletion removes your personal information from our active systems within 30 days. Some anonymized data may be retained for legal/analytical purposes. Any remaining Baab Credits will be forfeited. This action is irreversible.
On the user's profile, tap the menu (three dots) and select 'Report.' Choose the reason and provide details. All reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team. Serious violations may result in immediate account suspension.
Yes. On their profile, tap the menu and select 'Block.' Blocked users cannot contact you, see your full profile, or join matches you create. You also won't be matched with blocked users.
Go to Profile > Settings > Notifications to customize which alerts you receive. Options include match reminders, chat messages, promotional offers, and more. We recommend keeping essential notifications on to avoid missing matches.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users aged 13-17 may need parental consent depending on local laws. We comply with COPPA and other child privacy regulations.
